Man arrested for allegedly mutilating white cat

The police have arrested a foreign man suspected of cutting off the leg of a white cat yesterday.

The North Klang District Police Chief, ACP Vijaya Rao Samachulu, said the action was taken following a report made by a complainant.

He said at around 12 noon the day before yesterday, the complainant, who was in Kampung Sungai Pinang, Klang, received a 47-second video via WhatsApp showing the man's cruel act.

"Yesterday, the police arrested a 33-year-old foreign man in Kampung Batu Belah, Klang, believed to be involved in the case.

"The police also seized an Oppo A5 mobile phone belonging to the suspect to assist in the investigation," he said in a media statement today.

Vijaya Rao stated that the investigation is being conducted under Section 428 of the Penal Code. - THE MALAYSIAN SCRIVENER
