Digital Lean PoC initiative enhances Malaysia's tech infrastructure & competitiveness - MPC

The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) is committed to advancing the transformation of the nation’s technology infrastructure and organisational excellence through its latest initiative, the Digital Lean Proof of Concept (PoC).

This initiative is expected to significantly enhance Malaysia’s standing in the World Competitiveness Ranking (WCR) by improving operational efficiency through the integration of digital technology and lean principles.

It aligns with Malaysia’s efforts to strengthen its position in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking, particularly in the area of technology infrastructure.

The Digital Lean Proof of Concept combines user-friendly digital technology with lean principles to drive efficiency and innovation in operations.

The project is designed to optimise processes by replacing manual tasks with advanced automation systems, thereby increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enabling more strategic decision-making.

This initiative is expected to boost productivity across various economic sectors, which could further strengthen Malaysia's global competitiveness and position the country at the forefront of productivity and innovation.

“MPC believes that the Digital Lean Proof of Concept initiative can position Malaysia as a progressive and competitive nation, delivering significant positive impacts on our World Competitiveness Ranking (WCR). A total of 30 companies are participating in this initiative”, said Zahid Ismail, Director-General of MPC.

Performance and system effectiveness will be measured before and after the implementation of the PoC Digital Lean process. Feedback from the participating companies will be used to assess the effectiveness and suitability of the technology in meeting organisational needs.
